Our Philosophy:
Since 1994, The Global Fund for Children has developed an award-winning collection of books to teach children to value diversity and to grow into caring, productive citizens of the world. These books can help children develop the knowledge and skills that are necessary to work and live comfortably in a global society.

The development of each Global Fund for Children book is influenced by three guiding principles:
•    to present positive images and stories of children;
•    to promote cultural diversity; and
•    to foster global citizenship.

These books integrate children’s perspectives and inspire young readers to explore diverse cultures and global understanding. Children learn to respect differences as well as appreciate the values and oneness that bind us together as human beings.

Our Publishing Partnership:
Since 1997, the Global Fund for Children has partnered with Charlesbridge Publishing, a for-profit children’s book company in Watertown, Massachusetts. When we published our first book, Children from Australia to Zimbabwe, a portion of the royalties went to fund our grantmaking program. This practice continues today.

Charlesbridge also supports our Books for Kids project by offering GFC deeply discounted rates and free shipping for Global Fund for Children book donations to literacy organizations in need of quality children’s books.
