In 2012, GFC created a digital media hub that shares the voices of girls who are agents of change in their communities. The media hub is an initiative of GFC as part of the Grassroots Girls Initiative, with support from the Nike Foundation.
In 2010, GFC partnered with the Adobe Foundation to participate in Adobe Youth Voices, a program that empowers young people to share their voices and express their understanding of the world through the use of new media technology. Creative Frames is our website devoted to this project.
In 2009, GFC launched an experimental program to train adolescent girls in video production. Participants learned how to use media to amplify their voices and share their stories with a wider audience, while toolkits detailing the process were developed to help guide other community-based organizations in initiating their own video projects.
