Poder Joven (Colombia), Nov. 2011

Poder Joven (Youth Power), a GFC grantee partner since 2004, offers programs that promote literacy, life skills, critical thinking, and personal responsibility, with the aim of preventing children in the violent and impoverished neighborhoods of downtown Medellín, Colombia, from abandoning their homes for the streets.

Join Michael Gale, GFC’s program officer for Latin America and the Caribbean, on his November 2011 trip to Poder Joven.
