Instituto Fazer Acontecer (IFA) (Make It Happen Institute), a GFC grantee partner since 2006, promotes the development of young people between the ages of 10 and 17 from poor and marginalized areas of Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. IFA involves these young people in sports, promoting teamwork, discipline, and well-being, and engages them in workshops and other activities on the rights and responsibilities of citizens as leaders in the community.
